What is the difference between objdump and dumpbin in windows?

It seems both of them can dump the contents of a binary file,

then what's the difference?

There is not much difference.

Dumpbin is a Microsoft utility for portable executable files (PE).

Objdump is part of the GNU binutils packages and supports many binary formats, including COFF and PE.

Use what you prefer. I use objdump because I can check PE files from Linux. I would say using the one installed on your system: Dumpbin on Windows, Objdump on the rest.

Dumpbin may give you a slight edge in exploring exported characters, etc.
