Does TWebBrowser IE update?

I am using TwebBrowser in a D7 application. Question: when I update IE, will this component use the new IE to display pages?

Yes.

TWebBrowser inside the SHDocVw block internally creates an IWebBrowser2 OLE control.

And this interface uses the installed Internet Explorer ( as described here ).

Yes Yes.

When it is created, it asks the system for an instance of the object that is currently configured to implement IWebBrowser2 ({0002DF01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}), which will indicate the version of IE installed.

There is not much choice: you cannot have multiple versions of IE installed side by side.

this does not mean that it will behave exactly the same between versions.
