Can I use TrueCrypt through another application? (WITH#)

Question

I just started using TrueCrypt, and I am wondering if it is possible for me to write a console / forms application that will allow me to interact with truecrypt. It will use C # in Visual Studio 2010 with Windows 7. I just want to know if I can do this. If someone has done this before or knows if this is possible, I would appreciate input.

I looked (very briefly) a few months ago, and it seems that TrueCrypt does not have an API other than the command line.
