Switching from the Google engine using Groovy, Java, and Gaelyk to another host

I currently have an application that is built on gaelyk, groovy and GAE.

I would like to move this application to another host, such as Amazon EC2, and run it against MYSQL. Is it possible?

I do not need Google USER services.

Take a look at AppScale .

It depends a lot on how you are currently using the App Engine with Gaelyk. Gaelyk is syntactic sugar on top of the GAE SDK and leans on the shoulders of giant Groovy: the Groovlet servlet and Template servlet are part of Groovy itself, not Gaelyk. Therefore, if you do not rely on various GAE services, you can run your application on any Java container, wherever it is located.
