How does asp.net code work?

Question

I'm new to ASP.NET development, and I'm a little curious about what the asp.net engine looks like. i know why we use it
but I would like to know:

the link between the aspx page and the code behind
who performs the link between these two separate files?
How it works?
How can I create an element created on an aspx page directly from code?

I mean, what's going on behind the Scenes?
