Change Cocoa display name in app?

Question

How to change the name that appears above my application in the Dock on OS X? (I tried to rename the target and rename my project. And I had it in Googled.)

After further Googling, I found this:

"Project" → "Change the active object" → "Packaging" → "Product Name"

(This did not work the first time I tried this ... Odd.)

I suggest changing the BundleName in the plist info file of your project.

• Click on the target you want to rename in the list of goals
• Wait one second
• Click again. The target name will receive the editable modus.
• Rename the target.
• Press Enter.
