How to change the navigation style of a Google Maps navigator

Question

I am looking at the google maps api link, but they do not provide any method or property for creating a new type of navigation control. I wonder how to create a navigator, as shown below.

• Add your own control on the map, for example which
• Catch the zoom events from the map (zoom_changed event) and report the controls and vice versa (map.setZoom ())
