Using RockScroll v1 with Visual Studio 2010 issue

I knew about RockScroll in this blog , I downloaded it to run in Visual Studio 2010, but it does not seem to work with VS 2010.

What could be the problem? Does RockScroll v1 work with VS 2010?

  • If so, what is the alternative?
  • If not, what could be wrong?

RockScroll does not work with VS2010. The last thing I checked was that the VS-gallery had several somewhat similar extensions, although I do not know if any work with VS2010 and the new editor. I know that in MS, several people from VS are working on a new VSIX, like RockScroll, during their free time, for possible inclusion in a future version of Pro Power Tools, although I have not heard anything about this in the last couple of months.

Power Tools performance now includes a scrollbar similar to RockScroll / MetalScroll, as described by @shaunmartin in yet another question :

Alternatives to MetalScroll and AllMargins .

I have not tried MetalScroll. I installed AllMargins and it was neat, but I can not say that it was very useful.
