What is the best way to check sending / receiving MMS messages from Android?

I am writing an application that stores secret data (encrypted + hidden with steg ) in MMS messages. Obviously, I need a way to check this, in particular, send and receive MMS messages. I have one Android phone, Nexus One. I know that MMS cannot be sent between emulator instances , but apart from using MMS downloads, is there another way to test sending / receiving without spending a lot of money?

Twilio has just announced MMS support, and on its marketing page there is a test box for receiving MMS, it can be useful for testing: http://www.twilio.com/mms

There are several sites that claim that you can send free SMS / MMS messages, such as http://www.text4free.net/ (he didn’t try it himself, though ) and commercial SW: http: //www.nowsms. com / ( this one works for sure, but is not free ). It is also possible that your mobile operator may send messages through its website.
