How to prevent phpstorm from saving a file on exit without a hint?

Consider this situation ... You just make changes to several files at once. The code is not completed yet, and the phone rings ... Then you need to close PhpStorm, turn off the computer and hurry up because something important has happened. Then in a week you will come back, run your phpstorm and note that everything you wrote was saved, but the stars are gone. Thus, you do not know which files from those that were opened were changed before you left.

I read a few posts here about confusing save functionality, and I think this is really not very good as it is currently happening. phpstorm should ask if I want to save these changes or not, or at least keep the asterisks in the tabs after launch, so that the developer knows which files have been changed.

"Not autosave on exit" strictly "will not be fixed" from the command. You cannot have the asterisks tab because the file in the editor is loaded only from disk and has no unsaved changes. It will make no sense.

If you need to save changesets over time, you should really be considering using a control source.

The local git repository will provide you with all the necessary features. Just install git, do "Version Control" GitInit ", and you have nice changes, chages in the editor, diff for each change and file.

Autosave is an integral part of the behavior of the Jetbrains platform and cannot be disabled.

There is an automatic history saved in phpStorm 2.0, I believe that it has its own CVS, which saves changes between files and specific lines. You can look at the history of files and restore an earlier view of the state, for example, Windows recovery points.

I found the auto save feature is too annoying. UNTIL I found the history tool in phpStorm, and now I don’t care if my files are autosaved or not, because I can compare all the changes at any point in time that I want.
