What is the maximum file upload size in Internet Explorer?

In my Rails application, I can only download up to 1.5 GB when using Internet Explorer, but when I use Chrome, I can download 10 GB without any problems. Why is this? I am running Mongrel as my web server.

Try looking at the http header:

Content-Length: -1618952669

The value should be the size of the file in bytes (never a negative value).

Regarding this web page http://www.motobit.com/help/scptutl/pa98.htm The browser has a limit of up to 2.0 GB. Files larger than this can cause integer overflow.
