How to use assembly registered in GAC on MonoDevelop?

Question

I recently registered the assembly of Mysql.Data.dll in the GAC on 64-bit Ubuntu 14.4 , to use it after this example with the ASP.NET Mono project and verified .

I realized that although it is registered in the GAC, it cannot be used directly from the Monodevelop link editing dialog .

I tried to understand how this is possible, there is an opportunity for Visual Studio , which is something I do not need.

Doubts:

• If the assembly is un-usable , then what > register it in the GAC ?
• How can this assembly be provided by the package (and declared via a .pc file?
• How can this assembly be combined with the application?
• Are the following steps wrong?
