IOS Displaying song metadata in the multitasking panel and playback lock screen currently

Is there a way to show the name of the song in the multitasking panel and the multimedia section of the lock screen in the background audio application, for example, the iPod / Music / Video application? While my application is running in the background, it responds to multimedia playback controls (on the multitasking panel, lock screen, headphones, external accessories, etc.) and handles interrupts, but this one thing is missing.

Or is this not possible with the current API? (which so far I have not been able to find any information).

One thing I wanted to check was if Pandora did this, but since I cannot use the application from Australia, I cannot check it. - It seems to me that I see in a demo vein, but I could be wrong.

Starting with iOS 5.0, this is now possible with the MPNowPlayingInfoCenter class.

All you need to know is in the official MPNowPlayingInfoCenter link.

This is basically a dictionary that you fill out with the necessary metadata to describe the media currently playing.

It is not possible to display information outside of your application about which song is played when using the background audio file. The only possible action is to pause and play the audio. That is all Pandora can do.
