960 Grid for liquid models

For fluid layouts, can I use the 960 grid to develop web applications ..?

You can use the 960 grid for web applications. If you need a fluid version, you must select the current version to download. The default version is based on a fixed width of 960 pixels. See the download page:

Yes. Go to http://grids.heroku.com/ and download the fluid version instead of the regular version.

I personally like the layout 960.gs and I think that it looks good in any browser / system except the mobile one, then you should have a mobile version (jQueryMobile, Sencha, etc.).

Anyway, if you want something a little more than 960, there is a new mesh system that works 1140 well

Check your site. I found 1140 easier to use than 960.gs, in fact I would like them to support a resolution of 960 pixels :)
