Key Features of Android GridView

Question

Usually in Gridview, when you click on an element in a grid, it highlights a specific background of squares with a well-known orange color. I want it to stay highlighted after you release it, basically turn it on / off to highlight. I want to use the Android backlight color, which is automatically integrated, but I still have not been successful in any attempt to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use android:listSelector="#00000000" in the GridView element in your XML layout file.

Try to install

 setDrawSelectorOnTop(true) 

This calls up the selector over the selected item.
