you better go to fontsquirrel.com and crack the @ font-face font set to get the maximum cross browser. paul irish also has a sleek bulletproof cross-browser example of how to properly embed the @ font-face font.

IE, unfortunately, does not support TTF fonts, so you also need to use EOT, supported types / browsers

  • Internet Explorer (all versions): EOT
  • Safari (3.2+): TTF / OTF
  • iPhone (3.1) SVG
  • Chrome (all versions): SVG (TTF / OTF added January 25, 2010)
  • Firefox (3.5+): TTF / OTF (.WOFF added 3.6)
  • Opera (10+) TTF / OTF

I have had limited success with the font, but I hope this helps.

IE does not support the TTF file format (updated March 2016).

Here is a tool to convert your TTF to EOT.

easy to solve go to this link http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface/generator

Download your font

then download all files with different font formats that are supported by different browsers and used in your project. Now it will work exactly in all browsers

The bad news: IE does not support standard TTF fonts. (I constantly wonder how hard IE works)

The good news: IE supports the alternative EOT font format. You will need to provide the font in both formats and change your CSS to specify both of them.

@font-face { font-family: Beloved; src: url(/location/of/beloved.eot); /* IE */ src: local(Beloved), url(/location/of/beloved.ttf) format("truetype"); /* non-IE */ }

In general, you should be able to convert your TTF fonts to EOT format without any problems, but you may find some fonts not convertible. In this case, you're out of luck.
