MacRuby - ActiveRecord for storage?

Can I use ActiveRecord to store and query in a MacRuby Cocoa application?

If so, are there any resources that show how?

Is there a reason why ActiveRecord should not be used?

Yes it is. This is a Ruby library, you can use it without any problems.

However, ActiveRecord is a fairly extensive library. You may not need all of its features. If you just need to connect to the database and perform operations, I highly recommend that you try Try gem try.
