Is taskkill safe to close the process?

I want to be able to close a process on a remote computer using a .bat file. for example: taskkill / im Myapp.exe

Does taskkill use a suitable way to close an application? for example, click "X" on the toolbar?

Does the application provide time to run all closing methods / destructors? Or can this lead to its sudden termination, having lost any data that could not be written before closing?
