How to debug a Fiddler extension

I am trying to write a fiddler extension that implements IAutoTamper but nothing happens. I would like this to be a way to debug the extension so that I can go through and find out what exactly is failing.

I have already tried to connect Visual Studio to the Fiddler.exe file both using the menu item and using the tips offered by AndyBareWeb on my blog in response to this question .

Any help would be appreciated.

Joining Visual Studio should work fine. What exactly happened?

The reason for the problem 1 that you described is because you did not make your class public or you were unable to add Fiddler.RequiredVersionAttribute to your assembly.

Inside Fiddler, you should also enter the following in the QuickExec field below the list of sessions:

prefs set fiddler.debug.extensions.verbose True

... and restart Fiddler. You can find additional debugging information on the LOG tab.
