How to change the way eclipses are displayed?

As you can see in the picture, I do not need blue colors. How to change this?

Also I do not want this black color.

Ach. Unfortunately, this is rather complicated. The background color of this popup is set by the operating system. It looks like you're working on Ubuntu with a darker theme. You have two options:

  • Choose a different topic.
  • Live with picky flowers. If you click the error marker on the left, it will appear with a more accessible black and white window.

You can use this guide to change the colors of the tooltip for Eclipse only, and not change them for the entire desktop environment.

  • Select "Change Desktop Wallpaper"
  • Select "Theme" on the tabs.
  • Click Configure
  • Select "Colors" from the Tab.
  • Change the "Background" "Tips" as you like.
  • The change will be visible during the eclipse. (Based on Ubuntu 10.10)
