GPU device emulator

I'm new to CUDA training, and I was looking for a good emulator to run my CUDA programs, since my laptop does not come with a graphics card.

I heard about mcuda and gpuocelot, but they seem to have awful and confusing documentation. I tried to install them for several hours, but with very little success.

Does anyone know of a decent GPU emulator with good documentation. I am using Ubuntu 10.10 operating system

Thanks,

Gaurish

nvcc has the ability to enable emulation mode and run the entire application on your CPU. Of course, for this you do not need a GPU with CUDA support.

nvcc -deviceemu my_first_app.cu

I tried using GPUocelot on ubuntu 12.04. its time-consuming work we have to download several folders from " http://gpuocelot.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ " Hope this works after downloading these folders using svn. here is a link where you can find all the steps to install gpuocelot http://barefeg.wordpress.com/2012/06/16/how-to-install-gpuocelot-in-ubuntu-12-04
