After downloading the Man Man Page Viewer, I don’t see the actual manual page when the function freezes.
Should I turn it on somehow? Where should I use menu item i?

It appears that CDT 5.0.1 is required and, depending on the version of Eclipse you installed, it may not be included.
What Eclipse package have you installed?
