Qualified for iOS4

I just sent the app to the App Store for the first time. During my build, I set the deployment target in iOS 4.2. When using the application loader, I was asked if the binary was “verified and qualified” for iOS4. I chose NO.

In general, I wonder what this question is for.

  • If you say "YES", then your application is ready for all versions of iOS version 4.0 and higher?
  • Do you get any special advertisements if your application really fits?
  • Since I answered NO, does this increase my risk of not accepting me?
  • By choosing NO, does this limit the distribution of my applications in any way?

All information on this topic is welcome.

Thanks!

See the link, in particular, Jasarien's comment that there was no other technical history behind this.
