I reviewed the SQL tools RedGate and Microsoft Visual Studio Team System Database Edition (formerly Data Dude) for use in a test environment and continuous integration.
We need to be able to:
- Scheme and data under source control
- Automatic continuous integration using TeamCity (command line)
- Push changes (and data) to environments (staging, production, test), but not from Visual Studio
Which solution best suits our needs, as well as the opinions of people, the opinions and experience of both products. What would you / would you choose and why? Are there any alternatives I missed?
