File System Based Mind Mapping

I was just starting to use mind mapping software (Freemind and Xind) as a replacement for text documents that I had previously used to track my work. The main problem (in both cases) is to maintain links to files and folders when adding, deleting or renaming (as every time I have to update the mind map).

What I'm looking for is a mind mapping tool that will allow me to:
-automatically create the folder / file structure in the mind map corresponding to the folder in my file system.
-create relationships between them, add notes and change the style of these folders and files.
- when a folder / file is added, deleted or renamed, the mind map is automatically updated accordingly (I assume that Linux will work on the basis of inodes).

Thanks.

Freemind can create your entire file structure by going to the import-> folder.

It works fine in freemind or freeplane, but you publish it on the Internet with an addon, it crashes. Work on this issue.

Mindjet 8 has limited capacity, but only displays two levels down. Not very helpful.

There is an add-on for Freeplane that looks promising for what you are trying to achieve: dView (index file)

Docear has a mindmap mode that imports a directory structure, creates a mind map, allows you to create graphic links between folders and add notes. It has the functions "Add control folder" and "Reread control folder", but the monitoring function works only for PDF files and subfolders with PDF files in them. This may be a good place to start as it is open source. (It is based on the free plane).

A suboptimal solution is to use your file manager as a mind mapping tool, and then use directory names for topics, text files for details / notes and links for relationships.

As far as I know, FreeMind and Xmind provide some binding to external files, but not as extensive as you request.
