How to change MySQL server timezone?

I manage a MySQL server. It is installed on the ubuntu server. I recently discovered that the ubuntu server is set to a false time zone. I fixed this through the terminal with the dpkg-reconfigure tzdate . Now I want MySQL Server to adapt this parameter. Is it possible?

In your /etc/mysql/mysql.conf or wherever it is, check the default-time zone

You need to update mysql tables on the server to support time zone names. Use the shell command on the server:

 mysql_tzinfo_to_sql /usr/share/zoneinfo | mysql -u root mysql -p
