Unable to verify lock on path

When I want to delete some files, I will be shown the error below:

Failed to commit (see details):
Unable to check lock on path
'file name...'; no suitable lock token

If you want to break the lock, use the Check For Modifications dialog box.

Please help me solve the problem.

At least one of the files is locked. As the error tells you, use the Check Changes dialog box, click the Check Repository button, and then find the files that are locked. Then either remove or break this lock.

Hope this helps.

What command did you use to delete the files? Is this a local command or a remote command in Subversion?

 $ svn rm file #Local mode $ svn http://svnhost/svn/project/trunk/file #Remote mode

If you delete files in local mode, are they read-only? If so, you will need to determine what made them read-only. Is there a castle on them? See Red Bean chapter on locks.

You used the Subversion command. Right?

if you are in an eclipse, go to a team, press the lock button, then check the box (block theft), click on it and try again, checking it, then it should work for you.
