How to retreat inside a block of text via TAB or 4 spaces, in Emacs, in markdown mode?

I mean, this manually starts for the selected text.

In general, Cu Cx Ci will indent-rigidly marked block by 4 spaces ( Cx Ci => indent-rigidly , Cu without the following digits or minus sign => implicit universal argument 4). (First mark one end of the block with the C-SPC , and then go to the other end of the block if β€œmarked” is not a familiar concept.)

Judging by http://jblevins.org/projects/markdown-mode/ , if you want to postpone a block in such a way as to mark it as code, you want Cc Cs c (after marking the block as described above).
