Xcode 4 error while trying to add a new item to the Preferences Elements array in the parameter set

I created a parameter set for my iOS application and tried to edit the Root.plist file.

I can change some of the existing values (those created by default), but if I try to add a new element (regardless of type), Xcode 4 will exit with the following error:

Does anyone know what might cause this?

I am using Xcode 4.02 build 4A2002a. This is the log:

This is the root.plist content created by Xcode itself:

Sounds like an Apple bug. If you tell Xcode Continue, not Crash, you can continue to work as if nothing had happened. If all else fails, you can use PlistBuddy or the default values to control your plist. (The Editor.app property list would be ideal, but I don't think it is included in the Xcode 4 installation.)
