Android: add an external glow to ImageButton

I watched these posts: StateList , Various states

I really want to add an external glow or some way to highlight the onclick button and make different images for related states. Is it possible to use colors or themes?

I think you would be better off making an image for the state, rather than trying to use software to render this automatically. The software solution is likely to be slower.
