If you want to select wrinkles “automatically” (using the graphical interface), you can look at drawing as well as “Editing Poisson images”, Perez et al. ( http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.133.6932&rep=rep1&type=pdf ). This latter method is also known as Gradient Blending.
I tried to remove one wrinkle (it is positioned at 7 o’clock) using Poisson editing. Left: earlier; Right: after:

The code is in Mathematica and is too "improperly packaged" to be really useful.
As for inpainting, the texture synthesis method yields the following:
Inpaint[eye, w, Method -> "TextureSynthesis"]
