What is the most convenient device for developing Android?

I am currently developing applications for iOS, but I also want to start development for Android. The device used to develop iOS is not a very difficult choice, because, in fact, you really have no choice, whether it's an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, the end of the story. But for Android you have a much wider range, there are many different models and many different brands. So, what would you recommend for Android development. I don’t want to spend that much money, but I also want the device to become outdated too quickly. Any suggestions?

The Nexus series for development phones should be the obvious choice, as they are the first to be updated with new releases.

In addition, as one of them noted, they are installed with an Android phone and are not contaminated with third-party software.

I would choose the latest Nexus Series phone, as it is the most " Google Android ". They seem to be the first to be updated when new android releases appear! The Nexus S is a good scream as it is the last.

Nexus S is a good choice. This is Google’s new Android phone and is well suited for development. You can read here: http://www.google.com/nexus/#/tech-specs . But, of course, it is better to have some devices for testing.
