Programmatically set the arrow tip of the ios popup

I lack the correct terminology, so it’s hard to find a solution for google / search search - however, I want the pop-up window’s pointing arrow to point to different locations, take a look at the following image to see what I'm talking about

You need the popoverArrowDirection property of your UIPopoverController . Set it to one of the UIPopoverArrowDirection values.

You can also specify the allowed direction in any of these functions to display a popover:

 presentPopoverFromRect:inView:permittedArrowDirections:animated: presentPopoverFromBarButtonItem:permittedArrowDirections:animated:
