Can I use a change to the Javascript engine that Cocoa WebView uses?

I am working on a html / javascript + cocoa hybrid application. From what I can tell, cocoa WebView uses the same javascript mechanism as Safari (Nitro).

However, there are a couple of things in the V8 JS engine (used by Chrome) that would be good luxury goods. Since Chrome and Safari are Webkit-based, I wonder if it's possible to change Nitro swap for V8 for cocoa WebView at all?

in the cocoa web view ... No. but which is a "non-trivial" (i.e. huge) amount of engineering solutions, you could create your own WebView replacement.

here is the implementation guide for v8 and webkit is also open source and you can get it here .

but if you just want it for a couple of convenient aspects of v8, you would not use your time.

In addition, google has a chrome SDK , which will be the best starting point for webKit, but it is still probably not very useful to use your time.
