TortoiseSVN slows down the show of modifications

I used the list of modified files in less than a few seconds using the Check Changes command in TortoiseSVN. But all of a sudden changed, and now it takes something like 1 or 2 minutes to show me locally modified files.

I wonder if someone had the same problem, and if someone managed to find a workaround to it. I use TortoiseSVN on Windows 7. I also have two branches of the slow trunk, and both of them are fast.

The problem was the existence of a large number of non-version log files in a temporary folder in the working copy directory of SVN. I deleted them all, and everything turned out as fast as before :) It was very stupid that I had not noticed these files!

Run the cleanup command. This will adjust the file time of all your files in your working copy.

See the approach mentioned here for why this helps.

I had the same symptom as the original poster: โ€œCheck for Modificationsโ€ suddenly became much slower for me. But the decision made (a large number of non-versions of files) did not help.

I continued to search and experiment, and finally found another solution. In my case, I had the "Properties" checkbox selected in the "Items to display" section of the "Check for Changes" window. By checking this box, he accelerated it by an order of magnitude. I'm happy again.
