PathSeparator does not render in asp menu control

Question

PathSeparator does not render in asp menu control, below is my code

<asp:Menu ID="Menu1" runat="server" Orientation="Horizontal" PathSeparator=">" StaticDisplayLevels="10"> <Items> <asp:MenuItem Text="Home" NavigateUrl="~/Default.aspx"> <asp:MenuItem Text="About Us"></asp:MenuItem> </asp:MenuItem> </Items> </asp:Menu> 

Am I losing nothing here? Any help would be appreciated

This design behavior: the value of the PathSeparator property should not be displayed on the page.

Its sole purpose is to specify the delimiter character to use in the ValuePath property.
