IPhone InApp Purchase Auto-update not working

Could it be that an auto-renewal subscription is not supported in all countries?

When I create a test user from Israel , I get a message in the application that "Subscriptions are not supported. Automatic updating of the subscription is not currently supported in your repository"

But when I run the same application code and use a different test user defined in a different country, it works fine.

Whether there is a list of countries for which an automatic renewal subscription is supported, or as opposed to countries, this is not supported.

Here is the (possibly) real reason:

As of January 1, 2009, Israeli law does not allow automatic renewal of a subscription without the explicit notification and consent of the subscriber.

There is a link (Hebrew) to an article explaining the law. I strongly believe that Apple has accepted the easy part of simply blocking the service instead of turning on notifications. I completely agree that this is outrageous because, as a citizen of Israel, I can not subscribe to several electronic publications. I'm not familiar with the corresponding APIs, but I'm sure there is a way to allow manual updates, and I'm also sure that Apple will also block this.
