How to stream audio from a PC via Bluetooth

Here is what I am trying to do. Capture any sound that is currently playing on the PC, and transfer it via Bluetooth, and then play it through the Android device paired with the PC. I worked with Bluetooth a bit, but very simply. And I have very few ideas on how to do this. My target device is Android 2.2 (and higher). I think I need to use Bluetooth profiles, but not too sure. In addition, I do not know of any other reservations that I may have to face.

Someone would like to point me in the right direction. Any tips, links will help. Thanks.

It depends on the feature / profile supported by your Android device. For streaming, you will usually use the A2DP profile, and the Android device must support the A2DP receiver role. Usually this role is supported by stereo headsets, speakers, etc. Android phones do not support receivers - phones are the source of A2DP (or the initiator of streaming)
