Btrace with JDK5

Can bTrace be used with JDK5 or lower? If not, what are the things that are provided in JDK6 that make bTrace work?

I understand that btrace is working on Java Byte Code Instrumentation, which was for JDK5. are there any additional features of the toolkit used by bTrace?

Here is what they answered:

This script is not tested. Theoretically, just copy tools.jar to the location selected by the default classpath (or provide BTrace with the pathpath containing tools.jar). It would be great if you could verify this - I would like to hear the results.
