Is there an sql statement to search

Question

Is the actual sql statement found behind the view. I am in the sql management studio, I right-clicked on the view, and I see no way to expand the sql view in the view.

Views → your view → Script View as → Create

you can also do

SELECT OBJECT_DEFINITION (OBJECT_ID(N'your view'));

In SSMS (subject to the appropriate permissions), you can right-click on the view and select the "Script View as" option.

And why do you already have views that are not in the source control as a script? You should not create views other than scripts.
