Virtualbox - Cannot start Windows Server 2008 r2. Cycles "Window loading files ..."

I have a vdi file that uses Windows Server 2008 R2.

Every time I try to run it, I get this message:

Then the "Windows downloads files ..." page will be displayed and will be repeated several times:

My laptop specifications: Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 2.10 GHz RAM - 4 GB RAM OS - Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Virtualbox Guest operating system: Base memory - 512 MB Video memory - 32 MB

Not sure what to do. I searched quite a lot through all of Google and did not seem to find an answer or any lessons related to this problem.

Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you

The problem is resolved. The Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 Mobile Processor does not support a 64-bit guest OS.

this error usually occurs when trying to configure your VDI image to select an incompatible OS architecture.

for example: a VDI file refers to Windows 7 32bit, but you configure it using the Windows 764bit option.

The best solution to overcome this is to use the “Export Appliance” option in the file menu and then “Import Device”. Benifit, the wizard automatically determines for which OS architecture it was originally configured.
