Programmatically Read Email from Inbox on iPhone

Is it possible for my iOS app to access a user's mailbox in the Mail app? I would like to be able to read emails and save attachments.

No. Apple does not provide an API for this.

However, you can request the user to configure your mail server, and then talk directly to the IMAP server by downloading the attachments yourself.

If you have presets for popular email providers (MobileMe, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), this should not be too complicated for most users.
