Finding a Good WYSIWYG File Browser Editor

I would like to start making a terribly easy CMS, just to start with beautiful PHP and keep my mind active :) The first thing that crossed this mind ... WYSIWYG editor !

I remember the beautiful CKeditor , but I found a lot of people on the net complaining about the implementation of this tool in relation to their brother CKFinder , which is not free (is this true?). (Once I had serious problems with the implementation of the FCKeditor file browser in CKeditor ...: |)

Now my question is is the best (and possibly beautiful) open source editor with a file browser to easily download images, files and extract them? ... and of course, edit the text! :)

Please suggest me. I feel like I'm looking through old things.

I had excellent results using a combination of the TinyMCE editor and the free elFinder file manager. There are instructions for integrating the two into the wiki on elFinder.

I have been looking for a combination of a free editor and a file browser for a while, but alas, I have not succeeded yet. In the end, I wrote a plugin on top of TinyMCE that does exactly what I want and needs to do it. Therefore, my advice: spend some time on the TinyMCE or CKEditor API and write yourself.

If you still want to find a free plugin, this page is a good starting point. Stay away from TinyBrowser, although it is not very safe. Good luck
