Use SOAP web service in Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3?

I am trying to use a SOAP web service (from SharePoint 2010, if that matters). I am using Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3. What is the best way to do this? I read some materials mentioning Savon http://savonrb.com/ , but it was too new and wrong. Is this the best solution? Thanks.

I successfully used Savon to interact with the Bullhorn Staffing SOAP service about six months ago. I had no problems with Savon Jam, all my headaches came from inconsistencies with the service.

My interactions with the service were limited to getting data (simple) and clicking data that could include a resume file (more complex). I did not need to look much further than the Savon document to understand everything that I thought was simple to understand and easily applicable to my specific set of problems.

TL; DR; 1 vote for Savon, despite what you may have heard.

I used Savon to interact with the Jira SOAP API, and it worked fine.
