Convenient, easy to remember coupon codes

I want to create coupon codes that users can remember. My idea is something like:

  • squirrel45
  • nantucket23

That is, a real word, randomly selected from a long list of dictionaries (preferably compiled for this purpose), combines 2 random numbers. My questions:

  • Where can I find such a list of dictionaries?
  • Do you see any problems with the system? (security is not very important here, only something reasonable is in order)
  • Can you suggest good improvements or alternatives?

Fwiw I'm not crazy about Markov word generators, because I think that their features will be too difficult to remember. I would like the customer to be able to keep the code in his head and hand it over to the seller when he arrives to buy it back.

Word lists are easy to find. Make sure you sane filter them for dirty words;)

Here is a huge list of words that can be easily cleaned:

From there, you can easily upload words to your database and create your coupon code as follows:

$coupon_code = $rand_word . rand(20,99);

After that, just save your coupon code in the database and whenever you create a new code, check it against existing codes before applying it. Subtle chances are even possible.
