Open Pdf in a new tab

On Button Click I create a PDF file, and then open it on the client side:

Response.ContentType = "application/pdf"; Response.TransmitFile(path);

This will show pdf in the browser, but on the same tab. How to open it in a new tab?

You cannot do this on the server side. This is a client-side operation. see Create a new tab or window for a web page from ASP.NET
