Google Font (with a space on it), not rendering on IE7 / IE8

Does anyone have any idea why IE7 / IE8 will not display the Google font if there is a space on it?

Here you can see the demo: http://jsfiddle.net/fYzAb/1/

Exactly the same two tags, one of which uses Oswald, the other using Francois One (returning to Georgia to make it easier to detect).

You can see the screenshot here http://screencast.com/t/dhhccz5n7O (IE), and here is how to do it: http://screencast.com/t/9M9uhTYTw5n (Chrome)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

BTW: Here is a similar issue, http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/comments/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20841

PD: I know that I can call both fonts in the same tag.

I think you also found this: http://code.google.com/p/googlefontdirectory/issues/detail?id=1
(today there was a post regarding Francois Odin, I think it was yours)

There is a solution that works for me (now I see the font in IE6-9)

The most common reason that fonts do not load in IE is because the font table was incorrectly encoded by the font author. This is exactly the same as with Josefin. Surname + Style Name must = Full Name. Josephine can't handle it. FYI - fontsquirrel.com automatically fixes these problems in its websites.

This must be the reason the name is incorrect inside the source font, which is important for IE

I only changed the EOT URLs to my downloaded font, for WOFF I can still use the google font (but I think it's better to use custom files for each font, no one knows how long the specific fonts available through the current URLs will be displayed addresses).

Also note: the name of the font family to be used inside CSS has now changed to FrancoisOneRegular

Try replacing the + sign with% 20. I checked the url with% 20 and it works too, maybe it will work for IE.

I think it may be the font itself, check this out
