How to convert pdf to image without text

I would like to know if it is possible to convert it to PDF and image without fonts. My goal is to have only an image without text?

And if so, can I do this using ImageMagick / GhostScript?

Here is an example

The final image is http://crocodoc_public.s3.amazonaws.com/8b8aa154-45e3-41f9-a465-628e1b2e955d/images/page-001.png

and the original PDF http://crocodoc.com/demo/efwpa (page 2) We see that the text is superimposed on top of the image, that I want to do the same.

So, if I realized that you want to remove some text from your PDF (not fonts), and you want to do it programmatically. I suspect that you already know that this is only possible if the text is placed on some separate layer in your PDF files. You can try using iText . Beware, this will mean that you have to spend several days learning how to use this library.

You can do this with Adobe Acrobat. Select the text with the Lift tool and delete it. I do not think you can do this with Ghostscript. You may consider editing PDF manually ( qpdf helps).

I also look at something like that. While playing with imagemagick, I tried this command and got unexpected results.

convert -input.pdf -blur 0x0 output.jpg

this removes the text layers from the pdf files I tried.

I can not guarantee that this will work for you, and if that is the right way, but you can try.
