Eclipse does not recognize my Android phone & # 8594; Unable to debug

Suddenly, Eclipse stopped recognizing my Android device. Therefore, when I click the "Play" button, I get the following message:

No compatible targets found. Do you want to add a new Android? Virtual device?

It’s strange on my device that USB debugging is plugged in as soon as I plug it into my MacBook.

What could be the problem? Thanks!

PS: I use the Samsung Galaxy i5800 and MacbookPro.

First of all, you should check if your adb daemon is running (suppose you have Android sdk installed). Please try to do this in the terminal:

adb devices

And if after List of devices attached there is nothing, try restarting the server:

sudo adb kill-server sudo adb devices

I recently discovered that I switched a mini-usb power cable with a mini-usb data strong> cable (the first is to recharge the Bluetooth keyboard for the Nexus 7). Very, very disappointing, because the cables seem to be the same minus the data conductor (since there seems to be no way to say without switching the cables (IE, there is no indicator that yes, the phone is connected, but it is not (unlike the driver problem))) .

I had the same problem. When I installed my Windows again, I forgot to install the driver for my phone. The generic USB driver was insufficient - the one provided by the factory should also be installed. In my case, I had to download PC Companion for my Xperia. Samsung has Kies.

my celkon a85 android mobile is also not detected by eclipse even after turning on USB debugging. there are no drivers for such mobile phones, Windows says that the wizard was not found for installation. but the pdaNet for android software helped detect my phone. Here you can find this software here . just download it and install using your manual, it will automatically install the driver for your Android mobile phones, such as celkon, micromax, etc., and this software will help your Android phone work as a modem (for example, a suit for Nokia PC) . u can connect interent to PC using your mobile network.

I am working on Linux and was able to get a message that too many files are open. I'm too stupid to know how to close them. So I rebooted my laptop and eclipse, then recognized my phone again. I know that there are administrative terminal tools for closing files on Unix, which would save you a reboot if you had to do this often. In my case, it could be the webview caching that I adjusted.

Judging by other suggestions, open files may be just one of the problems that lead to this crash.

I am using Samsung Gio, Android version 2.3.6, Linux Mint and Eclipse 3.8.0. The link written by Maciek worked for me ( https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/4322/my-samsung-galaxy-3-gt-i5801-is-not-being-detected-by-my-pc-what -should-id ). THX!
