Is there a librarian / method to output text in 80 column format?

Question

Here is what I am looking for.

I would like to find a library or method that formats the output text so that it wraps the words 80 (or is customizable by the user) and allows you to define user indentation.

I know that I can create it, but I suspect that there is already a library that does this. I googled around and I found pages for iomanip - which gave me ideas for creating my own.

I did a quick search through boost libraries, but I really didn't find anything suitable.

If you are on a POSIX platform, you can look at ncurses or termcap and see if they will do what you need.
